Myanmar Readers Club (MRC)
Saya Institute launched the Myanmar Readers Club (MRC) on October 12, 2021, as an online learning initiative for children. The program began with Zoom classes for children aged 6 to 8, designed to ensure that learning would not be interrupted during challenging times.
The aim of MRC is to cultivate a love for the Myanmar language. Children are guided to read, write, and remember the basic foundations of the language—letters and vowels—while also developing the ability to discuss and connect with general knowledge topics.
Our classes are conducted with custom lesson plans and engaging methods, including:
- Individual Reading – helping each child practice pronunciation, spelling, and reading aloud
- Storytelling – encouraging imagination, creative thinking, and positive attitudes
To support children’s growth, we also provide monthly assessments and report cards. At the end of each course, students receive a portfolio and certificate as recognition of their progress.
Beyond classroom learning, we organize supplementary reading activities and special events, rewarding children with prizes to celebrate their participation and achievements
Today, MRC has expanded to offer multiple levels for children aged 6 to 15. We continue to publish our own specially designed reading books, ensuring that every child can enjoy learning Myanmar language in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
