Teaching Foundation Course

      This will be a paid-course for participants but 25% of the students will be allowed to attend with full scholarships. The course is aimed to provide basic knowledge and skill set to parents and teachers relating to teaching. It is a 10 weeks long course and mainly conducted by our Technical supervisor. Training periods will be varied from one training to another.

Learning at Home Program

      Due to COVID-19, there has been a rise of many online learning platform but most of them are targeting to children from middle or higher socio-economic situations. Our plan is to create a Learning Platform where we share quality educational resources to reach the unreachable, targeting low and middle families even though the access will be for everyone. The other purpose is to have lessons that reflect inclusivity and equity such as topics on ethnicities, special needs and diverse religions.

As many people are on facebook, the Learning Platform we will create, will still connect to facebook so that users can find it easier and more accessible.

Learning at Home Program (LAHP) : is for primary children to learn about different subjects including arts, ethnic culture and physical exercises. This has been run on facebook but will later move to the new platform. The program is monitored by trainers but teachers are volunteers.

Learning at Home Challenge : This challenge is to encourage parents and family members to spend more time with children in providing the learning opportunities. Parents will lead the lessons for their children and we provide rewards for those who can teach the most.

Learning at Home Awards : The awards are part of Learning at Home program and challenge. This is to give awards to those parents and children who have been very active in our programs, who contribute back to the community and who won challenge award. Usually, this is led by the admin team with the support of trainers.

Myanmar Readers’ Club

  Myanmar Reader’s Club aims to develop the reading ability of the childern, promote critical thinking through general knowledge from reading. Children are encouraged to read and enjoy reading.There are three different levels- Beginner, Intermediate and Advance. This program is conducted through by zoom.

Little Mathematicians’ Program

      Little Mathematicians’s Program encourages childern for logical reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, abstract or spatial thinking, problem-solving ability, and even effective communication skills.

Professional Learning Community

A mix of paid and unpaid training programs will be part of this task. Teacher training programs will mainly be led and supervised by Technical supervisors with the support of trainers.

Professional Learning Community for Teachers : This is a regular sharing session organized by Saya foundation for teachers across Myanmar. The program will be organized and facilitated partly by Saya Foundation team members but many of the sessions will be led by teachers. This is to provide a sustainable practice between teachers by establishing a Professional learning community. For every teacher who join 10, 20 and 30 sessions will receive certificates and gifts from Saya Foundation.

Professional Learning Community for Parents : This is for parents to learn about parenting, education and teaching from teachers and from one another. The program will be organized and facilitated by Saya Foundation team members, volunteer teachers and parents. This is to encourage parents in learning more about child related topics. For every parent who join 10, 20 and 30 sessions will receive certificates and gifts from Saya Foundation.
